BELARUSIAN LIBRARY
Loft renovation, The Anglo-Belarusian Society, 2023–24. Woodside Park, London, United Kingdom.
Description:
In north London, in the borough of Barnet, is the Church of St Cyril of Turau & All the Patron Saints of the Belarusian People. Opposite stands the Francis Skaryna Belarusian Library & Museum. These spaces serve as the main gathering locations for the Anglo-Belarusian Society—the oldest Belarus-related organization in the UK. Rich with artifacts and books relating to Belarusian history, the organization sought a new way to showcase these historical objects. I was invited to join the project as a consultant and advisor. The attic of the library was chosen for renovation; the project is currently in its construction phase.
